Date Night!

I have been looking forward to Date Night with my wife all week. We were glad our babysitter from the summer, Amber Prieb, is still home from college so she could watch the kids. We are headed to Wichita for supper and returning items that did not fit from Christmas, and of course ending the night with ice cream. I love my wife & there is nothing like getting to spend uninterrupted conversation with her. Only 35 more minutes!

Guys, when was your last date night? There are lots of ways to go out in inexpensive ways. Consider a child care swap with another couple-you watch their kids while they go out and then you get a date night for free while they watch your kids. The place & activity are not that as important if you just have time to talk and reconnect especially for those who are parents. This is one of the best things you can do as a parent and a husband.

OK-back to work so I can get home on time. Date Night-it does a marriage good!

Sermon Notes "Plans" based on Acts 10:24-48

Introduction: I would like you to think about the word “plans”. Write down on your bulletin some plans you have for: this week, summer, your future, etc.   I am a planner so I love to know what is going to happen.   Yet we also need to keep in mind a Scripture from Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” We are going to see from the story of Peter and Cornelius, two great leaders who had plans yet God had a different plan and purpose for them and for others.
