VBS-Day 1

Day 1 of Hesston's Community VBS has come to an end. Hesston MB is in charge of 3rd and 4th graders this year. I have the privilege of being Paul under house arrest as part of our VBS Theme: Paul and the Underground Church. After sharing about Jesus with the family groups, they travel to an underground church as well as visit Extollo (music) and the marketplace (drama and crafts). Today's point was: God's Love is a Gift. Check back for tomorrow's point!

It is amazing how many volunteers it takes to pull off VBS each year. Thanks to all of the volunteers that are making this year possible!

Sermon Notes "Plans" based on Acts 10:24-48

Introduction: I would like you to think about the word “plans”. Write down on your bulletin some plans you have for: this week, summer, your future, etc.   I am a planner so I love to know what is going to happen.   Yet we also need to keep in mind a Scripture from Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” We are going to see from the story of Peter and Cornelius, two great leaders who had plans yet God had a different plan and purpose for them and for others.
